Highlighting the prime southern Paarl Trails, this route promises both challenge and immense satisfaction. The journey encompasses XC terrains, flow trails, remarkable ascents, and panoramic vistas, ensuring an unforgettable biking experience. Our adventure commences at Laborie, where a warm coffee, muffin, and a team introduction set the mood. We then proceed up the Laborie Trail, entering Paarl Mountain via the gravel road. This path gradually ascends to the tower situated on the mountain’s north-eastern side.
Our trail then veers around the mountain’s western portion, leading us to the Krismas Camp stop. Here, a delicious lunch provides the perfect interlude before we embark on “the Wall” descent and delve into the Diamant XCO pocket for added excitement. The journey then takes us down the Advocate trail and into Bovenland for an additional XC thrill.
Finally, we ascend to the Taal Monument, from where we embark on the concluding 4km downhill stretch through Laborie, culminating at our endpoint.
