A beautifully converted wine cellar on a working wine farm now serves as the home and hub of many things.
First up is the spacious, airy and light Specialized Paarl showroom where one is blessed with vistas of vineyards and the Du Toitskloof mountains whilst strolling through. The shop is equipped with everything one has come to expect from Specialized: experienced staff, top-quality products and a workshop to ensure you and your bike are perfectly calibrated and set.
Secondly, the shop serves as a community hub where parents, kids, grandparents and the curious and adventurous can enjoy coffee, a meal or a glass of wine at Knus Karoo Kombuis while the kids enjoy the pump track. The very same pump track hosts the Hero Legacy Project on a weekly basis. Here children who would not usually have the opportunity of learning to cycle are invested in. The biggest reward? Seeing the child’s face light up once the first ride without training wheels has been taken.
Specialized Paarl is also the starting point of over 400 km of trails which Paarl Adventure Trails create and maintain. You can also get your day permit at the shop should you need one (or buy an annual membership should you want to). Ample and secure parking is provided for those wanting to conquer the mountain.
Specialised Paarl is the home and hub of cycling in Paarl. And home is where the heart is.
To clean up after your ride, you can make use of the showers which are located right at the shop.
